Abstract
A mixture of working songs and songs for entertainment to tribal tunes. The language is Taiyal (Atayal). The song names are: 1) Night of Bird Song; 2) Beautiful Mountain; 3) Weaving and Rice Pounding Dance; 4) Tea Picking Song. From a collection of 10 gramophone recordings in Paiwan and other languages, from 1950s, by missionaries working with the Presbyterian church in Taiwan.
