Description
Conductivity probe data from laboratory experiments on the evolution of the stratification within a triangular basin due to a turbulent entraining gravity current. See readme.txt and readme_meta_data.txt for detailed information. Please contact Charlie Hogg at chogg@cantab.net for further information or clarification.
Research data supporting "Gravity currents filling basins: the influence of Reynolds number on entrainment into gravity currents".
Version
Software / Usage instructions
The data is in plain ASCII text, so it can be accessed directly. This data provides the density profiles plotted in explicitly in figure 4. This data is also the basis of the processed data plotted in figures 5, 7, 8, and 9. The details of how the data were generated are described in the article. The parameters of each experimental run are provided in repository_experiment_meta_data.dfc. The density measurements for each experiment are in files starting density_profile, as described in repository_experiment_meta_data.dfc. See readme.txt and readme_meta_data.txt for detailed information.
