Abstract

In December 2016, the University of Cambridge signed a 5 year contract with Elsevier that exploits researchers, the university, and the public, despite being provided with evidence from researchers that we wanted a better deal negotiated on our behalf. I will update you on what has happened since then to try to get the university to promote the best interests of researchers, and outline how we can change our behavior to facilitate this change.
