Abstract
Labor law is in crisis, again. Among the factors contributing to its apparent decline and possible demise are the erosion of the nation state, the fragmentation of the firm, the rise of precarious work, and the arrival of a new wave of information-based technologies. To this can be added the recent political shocks of Brexit and the election of President Trump, both of which, in their different ways, seem to call into question the post-war socioeconomic order of which labor law systems have been a part.
