Software / Usage instructions
.txt and .xy files can be opened by Notepad or other text editing software.
.csv files can be opened by a number of programmes including Micorsoft Excel or Libreoffice call (free alternative).
.TIFF files are image files which can be opened using the open source software ImageJ.
.dm3 files are BF-TEM image files that can be opened using Digital Micrograph or open source software ImageJ using a 'dm3 reader' plugin.
.emi and .ser files are either image files from DF-STEM or spectrum image files from EDX-STEM experiments (in their respective folders). The image files can be opened in ES Vision or TIA software (FEI) or in open source software ImageJ using a plugin 'TIA Reader'. The spectrum images can be opened in ES Vision/TIA or using an open source Python package Hyperspy.
