Description
These data come from model simulations performed with the United Kingdom Earth System Model (UKESM). Four main simulations were performed with different emissions of certain biogenic volatile organic compounds (BVOCs) and different ways of modelling atmospheric chemistry. Comparison of the output from these simulations provides information as to the importance of certain processes in terms of the atmospheric and climatic response. The data predominantly comprise 3- or 4- dimensional fields with coordinates of time-latitude-longitude or time-altitude-latitude-longitude. The data cover a range of atmospheric variables - temperature, pressure, radiative transfer, the concentrations of various gas phase and aerosol species and the fluxes through certain processes (e.g. at the flux of a chemical reaction). These fields enable us to diagnose how the atmosphere responses to the change in BVOC emissions. The associated README file provides full documentation for all the output variables.
