Description

Data corresponding to figures in the associated paper. Data is provided for the in situ synchrotron X-ray diffraction patterns (.chi) for the three cold rolled compositions during initial heating to 350°C and subsequent cooling to -196°C. These correspond to the diffraction patterns in Figures 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10. Subsequent peak fitting of these patterns was used to generate the fitting data contained in Figures 5, 6, 11 and 12. Corresponding temperature metadata are also contained in the .zip file along with the .respective .chi files, this data is contained in an .xlsx format and matches up with the .chi files in the respective folders. ECCI micrographs (.tiff files) taken of the initial condition and after ex situ heating to 350°C are included. EBSD (.ctf files) of the initial condition are also included to assess texture. TEM selected area diffraction patterns (.tif files) are included to assess the crystallography of the initial conditions, corresponding TEM dark field micrographs (.dm3) are also included corresponding to the reflections highlighted within the paper. Please refer to the manuscript for further details regarding data processing.

Software / Usage instructions

.chi files are contained in a .zip folder and can be opened using any text editor or imported into Microsoft Excel. .xlsx files are also contained within the .zip folder containing corresponding temperature data to the .chi files, these can be opened in Microsoft Excel. EBSD data is contained in .ctf files and can be opened with Channel 5 software, this is a proprietary software which is required to read in the data, however, any Channel 5 software such as Tango or Mambo can be used. .tif files can be opened with any image software such as Preview or Photos. .dm3 files can be opened with Gatan Digital Micrograph or ImageJ using specific, freely available plugins.
