Bird: Colour ring combination of the visitor if applicable. Unringed jackdaws are listed as “unringed”. All other unringed species are listed by their common name.

Date: Format YYYYMMDD

Location: Location of the table where the observation took place. Listed in the format, “Name of the site_name of the table”.

Time: time of day of the trial

Vid_time: Time in HH:MM:SS since the trial began

Time.since.full.bait: Time in HH:MM:SS since the last time the table was fully baited by an experimenter. 

Food.Type: Type of food the visiting bird consumed if applicable, listed as follows:
     “Cheese” - undyed yellow cheese presented during habituation trials
     “Yellow_YB” - undyed cheese presented during training trials alongside blue dyed cheese
     “Yellow_YR” - undyed cheese presented during training trials alongside red dyed cheese
     “Yellow_Bk” - undyed cheese presented during training trials alongside black dyed cheese

Eat: Number of cheese pieces eaten by visitor 

Colour choice: Whether or not the visitor had a choice of cheese colours (Y=1, N=0)

Position: Which of the four cheese piles the bird ate food from. When birds did not eat a piece of food, this reflected the closest cheese pile to where they landed. Position 1,4 were on the less scary side of the table, positions 2,3 were on the scary side of the table closest to the motion camera. 

Side choice: Whether or not the bird had a choice of cheese on both sides of the table (both sides = 1, only present on one side = 0)
