To compile the thesis, just latex the file 'frontpage.tex'. Unfortunately i've used chapterbib: which means that you have to run bibtex for each of the chapters separately and then latex the whole thing twice again afterwards. I've also fiddled slightly with the apsrev bibliography style file - all this did was increase the number of authors until you put in 'et al': so you can use just with no loss really. To get the pdf to look nice i used the command line: dvips -Ppdf -o frontpage.ps frontpage.dvi and then acrobat distiller. The published papers are not at the end - you have to download them, or email me i'm afraid! Please feel free to borrow text and images - but acknowledgement would be nice! Any comments on more efficient latex code would be welcome - i'm only a beginner.... thanks Chris Feb. 2004
