A survey of the mouse hindbrain in the fed and fasted states using single-nucleus RNA sequencing. Mol Metab. 2021 DATA & FILE OVERVIEW Single file: mouse-hindbrain-fedfast.RDS Are there multiple versions of the dataset? No METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION Description of methods used for collection/generation of data: Hindbrains from 6 male mice fed ad libitum and 6 male mice subjected to an overnight fast were dissected for single nucleus RNA-sequencing. Dataset generated sequencing data of 16,034 cells Methods for processing the data: Reads were aligned to the mouse genome (GRCm38), and raw count data were merged and analysed according to the seurat pipeline (Seurat V3). Briefly, nuclei expressing less than 200 features or 1000 transcripts were removed, data was log-normalised and scaled prior to PCA followed by unsupervised cluster analysis using the Louvain algorithm Instrument- or software-specific information needed to interpret the data: R and Seurat package Environmental/experimental conditions: ad libitum and overnight fasted samples People involved with sample collection, processing, analysis and/or submission: Georgina Dowsett, Brian Lam
