Description
107 x 74 mm. The photograph is annotated: 'Built to carry 22 paddlers a steersman and about 15 passengers. Antelopes horns are for ornament in front. The canoe is in five pieces sewn together with fibre from a palm tree. Eleven thwarts hold it together and act as seats'. The photograph is numbered '23' in bottom left corner. Album annotated: 'Photographs taken in Uganda in early part of 1900, or before this - by Mr Hattersley C.M.S.'.
