Abstract

This collection contains audio of interviews from the Sanchuan region, in the south of Minhe Hui and Tu Autonomous County, Haidong Region, Qinghai Province China. All interviews are with huala, male villagers who regularly incarnate local tutelary deities, on such occasions as healing rituals, and the annual harvest festival. The huala interviewed here are mostly Mangghuer; the collection contains one interview with a Tibetan huala, called lha pa in the local Tibetan dialect.

Description

The huala described his experience of being a huala. He also talked about the local temple and its history. The huala stated that he used to dance on Nadun day after becoming a huala, but he stopped dancing during Nadun about ten years ago. 在这段采访中他们谈到了很多跟法拉和当地神庙有关联的事情。法拉指出以前他成了法拉后在纳顿节上跳舞,但是他已经大约在十年前停止了在纳顿节上跳舞。
