dc.description.abstractThis considers the circumstances in which an easement by estoppel may take priority over a purchaser of the burdened land. It makes the point that such equitable easments are dififcult to fit into the land registration system, as evidenced by the discussion in Sweet v Sommer [2005] EWCA Civ 227; [2005] 2 All E.R. 64 (Note) (CA (Civ Div)).
