Abstract
Galina is one of seven children in her family. She was born in the village of Ergeninskiy in Ketchener rayon where she went to secondary school. After graduating from Kalmyk State University in Elista majoring in Kalmyk language and literature, Galina taught Kalmyk in a secondary school in her native village. Her father, Muta, knew many legends and stories about the origin of various clans. Galina relates in detail her father’s genealogy and about the residents of his native village.
