Abstract

Amlgn was born in 1934 in Maloderbetovskiy rayon in Kalmykia. She was one of 15 children in her family. Amlgn recalls how they lived in Kalmykia before the Nazi invasion in 1942, how she hid during the Nazi bombardment, how her father did not return from the war, and how they were sent into exile to Altaiskiy krai in Siberia. She also tells of exile, about how people lived there, and how they performed weddings. She got married in Siberia. In 1956 Amlgn and her family returned to Kalmykia.
