Abstract

Ubush says that in Kalmykia there are many folk healers. His personal attitude towards them is skeptical. He thinks that people who have healing abilities should study proper medicine in university. When Ubush was a child his mother took him to an old woman who performed divination with a rosary. He also remembers another folk healer who gave him consecrated water. Ubush says that some folk healers practice massage and do bone-setting.
