This workshop will introduce you to the concept of Open Research –sharing all aspects of your research in a way that makes it freely accessible to everyone. Katie Hughes and Lauren Cadwallader will discuss the importance of managing your identity when sharing, how traditional publication models create barriers to sharing, and how to overcome these barriers. They will explain and debate the pros and cons of alternative publishing options. They will also look at how to track who is talking about your work online. In addition, the workshop will include a presentation of current University policy regarding open access electronic thesis submission.
