Abstract

Maximising the health of the developing fetus and the infant until the age of two (the first thousand days) provides benefits for the child’s physical, emotional and cognitive development and their subsequent health as an adult. This paper explains how with an injection of $A400 million into the Australian health and social care system this can be achieved.
