Abstract
Zurgan says that her mother sewed tsegdg and decorated them with beads. In the past, on fasting days women, including the elderly and young mothers with their children, went to temples to pray. They wore hats, tsegdg, and had shivrlyk and tokug on their hair. Zurgan’s mothers, both biological and her step-mother, had silver tokugs. Since gold is heavier than silver, tokugs made from gold was considered more valuable. Due to her ignorance, Zurgan says she did not ask for a tokug from her mother. Zurgan also says that children, married women and old women wore blue or black hats. Young people, by contrast, had hats with embroidery.
