dc.description.abstractTatyana talks about the purpose of talismans called bu. She shows a talisman and says that people hang such talismans over the entrance to their houses as protection from jealous tongues and accidents. The talisman that Tatyana holds in her hands was brought by her male relative from Mongolia when he travelled there.
