Abstract

Olzyata talks about how people celebrated Tsagan Sar. This is what she says: Tsagan Sar is the day of the goddesses Okn Tengri and Green Tara. Okn Tengri was offered tea libations. Offerings to other gods included a sheep’s head, meat, 2 ribs, and biscuits (tselvg and zhola varieties). Women ate togsh and zhola biscuits. On this holiday people received presents from each other. People gave their daughters’ children sheep’s legs.
