Abstract

Antonina says that the Diamond sutra, which every Kalmyk household had in the past, has a deep Buddhist meaning. Among many things, Buddhism teaches about the law of cause and effect. The Diamond Sutra says that everything is interdependent in a karmic circle. When I first read the sutra, I understood nothing. But now I understand the essence of the sutra. At his daughter’s wedding, my son gave her the Diamond Sutra. Young people may not grasp the importance of the sutra, but they will in the future. In the past every Kalmyk household had this sutra.
