Abstract
The Kalmyk lama Ulankin Sandzhi was deported to Siberia, but after his return to Kalmykia he lived a long life and died at 95 or 96. When he met the Dalai Lama XIV, lama Ulankin Sandzhi was still in good physical form and sober mind. Although he himself was not present there, lama Agvan Eshey says that he knows for sure that such a meeting took place.
