Abstract

Tseren says that the ritual of gazr-usn tyaklgn is performed in the open space. People gather on top of a hill where they slaughter a sacrificial ram, while monks read prayers. This ritual is done two or three times a year, usually in the middle of summer and at the end of autumn. As an offering to the masters of water, people make a boat on which they stick a white flag. After the ritual, the participants receive food.
