Abstract
Dordzhi says that General Zhukov had two reasons not to like Kalmyks: The first reason. When he was a child, two Kalmyk-Cossacks came to Zhukov’s village. One of them wanted to slash Zhukov with his sword, but at the last moment spared the boy’s life. The second reason. In Tambov, a peasants revolt was instigated by two brothers who were accompanied by two Kalmyks. Zhukov was ordered to suppress the revolt, during which he was wounded on his shoulder with a sword used by a Kalmyk.
