Abstract

Once upon a time there was a woman whose husband died. Gossip and rumors about her made the rounds, which made her sad. She did not know what to do. Once, on a fasting day she went to the barrows in the steppe where she prayed, talked to her husband, and told him about what torments her heart. Suddenly, the sky lightened and it rained. A flower grew from the ground. The girl bowed to the ground and plucked the flower. This flower protected her in difficult times. Seeing her suffering, nature took pity on her and blessed her with a flower.
