Abstract
Nikolai says that this ritual is performed for people who are very sick. For this, one should make a small figure of a human from dough, wrap the figure into a cloth that belongs to the sick person, and burn it. It is also possible to bury this figure at the crossroad of three roads. Monks, however, perform this ritual differently. The relatives of the sick person should buy a living being destined to be killed. For example, a fish caught by fishermen. While the monk reads prayers, the living being should be released into nature.
