Terbish, B. (2019). Togtan Amunova, rules, prohibitions and incantations [Video file]. https://doi.org/10.17863/CAM.44617
Togtan says that women cannot wear trousers (this will affect their husbands’ clans negatively), spit, put on a man’s hat, participate in funerals, cry or whistle in the bed, or hold one’s hand behind the back. Crossing one’s hands is also bad for the woman’s own relatives. If someone stumbles while entering a house, that person should expect a profit. If a person stumbles while leaving a house, he/she should expect a loss. If a growth appears on one’s eyelids, that person should lean against the knee and say the following incantation: ‘Knee, knee, take the growth away’.
