Description
Minerva, goddess of artistic ingenuity, leads painting (Pictura) holding pencils and a palette to her rightful place within the personifications of the seven liberal arts. Above her head, a putto holding a palm and a laurel wreath is flying. Nil Invita Minerva is the proverb from Horace and Cicero that could have inspire this representation.
