Abstract

In this video, Shinbayar mainly introduces Bayangol sum (苏木) of Bayanbulag town (镇) in Hejing county and he mentions four other sums. Bayanbulag town includes 5 sums spread across the Bayanbulag grassland of Tianshan mountains: Arshat, Bayangol, Khar Salaa, Khökh Usun, and Süljeen sum. These places are blessed with abundant wild life, medical herbs, rivers and springs. A spring in Arshat is famous for curing many diseases. Khökh Usun, located at the border between the Bayangol Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture and Ili Khazakh Autonomous Prefecture, was historically an important place for the Torghuts to obtain corn and wheat from Ili.
