Abstract
Lev talks about himself and his family: I am from the clan of Gakhan Avgnr. My ‘bone’(lineage) is called Altnakhn. My surname is Antonov. My grandfather was called Yisn (meaning ‘nine’), and his brother was called Mosn (meaning ‘ice’). Mosn fought in World War II in the Leningrad front. When he was born the land was covered with ice; hence his name Mosn. My grandfather had only one son, that is my father. My grandfather was an educated man and worked as an accountant. After the war, my father worked at the television company. My grandfather also fought in the Leningrad front. One of my sons is dead. I have three grandchildren from the youngest son, who lives in Moscow. My daughter works Elista. My children look after me. I am happy with my life. Many friends of mine are already dead. During exile, I was in Krasnoyarsk, then in Novosibirsk and Omsk. One day, I went to the train station to see it full of Kalmyks who were about to set off back to Kalmykia. That is how Kalmyks returned home from exile. In Kalmykia we rebuilt our republic. Afterwards, I worked for 4 years as a builder in the Urals in the Perm region. There we a palace of culture. In my live I worked with Jewish people. My son now lives in Moscow running his cosmetics company. He often travels to Israel.
