Data supporting 'Optimal perturbation growth on a breaking internal gravity wave'
Description
These data were generated by the simulations described in the accompanying paper, and allow the recreating of figures 3-8. The code is available at https://github.com/Jezz0r/Stratiflow/tree/triplyperiodic. Figures 1 & 2 come from data generated for Howland, Taylor & Caulfield (2021); for further details see that work.
Format
Figures 4, 5 and 8 are given as MATLAB files containing matrices representing x-z slices of vorticity and buoyancy. Figures 3, 5, 6 and 7 are simple text files, with column headers labelling the data.
Keywords
