Description

This dataset originated from work supported by an EPSRC Industrial CASE award (EP/M507350/1). Li-Mg-EM - Precursor masses, Preparation, Density and Particle Size.xlsx: Contains the masses of precursor oxides and carbonates used in the fabrication of the Li-Mg-EM glasses, records of glass sieving and washing, density measurements of the four pristine glass batches (measured using Archimedes' principle) and particle size distributions measured using light scattering. Li-Mg-EM - EPMA, ICP-OES and final composition.xlsx: Contain the measured glass compositions. Details of the 36 spots analysed using EPMA across three glass pieces for each composition are given. ICP-OES analysis took place as the University of Sheffield by first digesting glass powders then analysing them. The final compositions are given as a combination of the EPMA and ICP-OES results. Li-Mg-EM - Dissolution experiment masses, times, SA-V ratios, calibrations, leachant pH.xlsx: Gives the raw masses of glass powders and leachant used at the beginning of each dissolution experiment and the mass loss at the end of each experiment alongside the times recorded for each experiment and the individual glass surface area to leachant volume ratios (SA/V) calculated for each leaching vessel. Calibrations and calibration times for pH meters and pipettes are also given. The pH of the leachates at the end of each experiment are also reported. Li-Mg-EM - ICP-MS (Blank concentrations).xlsx: The raw concentrations of the blank concentrations measured using ICP-MS. Vessel numbers correspond to those given in the Dissolution experiment masses... sheet. Li-Mg-EM - ICP-MS (Sample concentrations).xlsx: The raw concentrations of the sample concentrations measured using ICP-MS. Vessel numbers correspond to those given in the Dissolution experiment masses... sheet. Concentrations were treated following the methodology and terminology outlined in the ASTM product consistency test methods B. Li-Mg-EM - XRD diffractograms.xlsx: XRD diffractograms of the pristine glass and leached glass powders, presented as 2Theta and intensities. Vessel numbers correspond to those in the masses sheet. Li-Mg-EM - 7Li MAS-NMR.xlsx: 7Li MAS-NMR spectra presented as datapoint numbers, chemical shift and intensities. Spectra have been referenced and phased. Vessel numbers correspond to those in the masses sheet. Li-Mg-EM - 11B MAS-NMR.xlsx: 11B MAS-NMR spectra presented as datapoint numbers, chemical shift and intensities. Spectra have been referenced and phased. Vessel numbers correspond to those in the masses sheet. Li-Mg-EM - 11B MAS-NMR fits for DMFIT (pairs with raw spectra archive).rar: An archive containing the fits for fitting the 11B MAS-NMR spectra using DMFIT software. Vessel numbers correspond to those in the masses sheet. Li-Mg-EM - 11B MAS-NMR raw spectra for DMFIT.rar: An archive containing the 11B MAS-NMR spectra with chemical shift presented in Hz rather than ppm. For use with the fits files. Vessel numbers correspond to those in the masses sheet. Li-Mg-EM - 11B MAS-NMR fit quantifications.xlsx : Summarises the quantification of the fits alongside glass compositions. Vessel numbers correspond to those in the masses sheet.
