Abstract
Erdni says that traditional bans reflect Kalmyk worldview, religion and superstitions. Traditional prohibitions include: singing or crying in one’s bed, crossing one’s arms, holding one’s arms behind the back. Erdni recounts several prohibitions written in prose.
