Abstract
Bembya says the following about the Gelug and Nyingma schools in Kalmykia: In Kalmykia, the Gelug school prevailed in the past. It is possible it was not the only school in Kalmykia. Judging by surviving texts, I can assume that there was a weak presence of the Nyingma school as well. Most likely, that school existed not at the level of philosophical indoctrination but at the level of everyday rituals.
