Abstract

This report presents findings from a collaborative research project between Cambridge Sustainable Food (CSF) and the University of Cambridge ThinkLab, aimed at identifying and addressing barriers to sustainable diets within local food hub and club systems. Despite growing awareness of the need for climate-friendly eating habits, practical adoption remains uneven, particularly among communities experiencing food insecurity. Drawing on participatory workshops, public engagement, and desk research, this report outlines key challenges and offers actionable insights. The findings stress the importance of financial investment, culturally grounded educational outreach, and systems-level reform to enable a just and sustainable food future for all.
