Emblem from Juan de Horozco y Covarrubias, Emblemas Morales, Zaragoza 1604. the content of the Emblem is an admonition to those who 'Ingenian' (spend too much time being ingenious), illustrating this through the competition between a spider and a silk-worm. The conclusion is that a fools (necios) live, whereas the ingenious die (discretos).
