Research Data Supporting "Disc-Assisted Pulsed-Field Magnetisation of HTS Rings"

Change log

Description

The data acquired using a Hall sensor placed in the centre of a stack of bulk HTS discs that were inserted into the bore of a bulk HTS ring during various pulsed-field magnetisation experiments.

Sheet "Disc SP Profile": This contains the response of the discs to varying pulse amplitudes when pulsed in isolation with a single pulse.

Sheet "Ring SP Profile": This worksheet contains the response of the rings to varying pulse amplitudes when pulsed in isolation (where the discs are held above their critical temperature at 110 K).

Sheet "Ring SP Profile (unmag discs)": This contains the response of the rings to varying pulse amplitudes when the internal discs are at 77 K.

Sheet "Ring SP Profile (mag discs)": This contains the response of the rings to varying pulse amplitudes when the internal discs have been pre-magnetised via PFM at 77 K.

Sheet "MP (warm discs)": This contains the multi-pulse data for the ring, where pulses with increasing amplitude were applied to the ring while the discs were above their critical temperature.

Sheet "MP (mag discs)": This contains the multi-pulse data for the ring, where pulses with increasing amplitude were applied to the ring once the discs were pulse magnetised in isolation at 77 K. Note that in this case, the trapped field in the ring could only be determined after the final pulse, as the discs need to be warmed in order to measure this final trapped field.
