Abstract
Existing literature has made significant contributions to the growth of supply chain resilience (SCRES) research. However, limited guidance exists on evaluating the level of SCRES within the context of cost. This gap is critical as the level of resilience is inherently dependent upon firms financial capabilities. This paper addresses this issue by examining the relationship between resilience and cost at each sustainability pillar from various sectors. A systematic literature review and content analysis led to a critical taxonomy of SCRES assessment methods, capabilities, cost structures, and trade-offs; and the development of a theoretical framework for evaluating SCRES and cost level.
