Abstract
This video exclusively explores songs that indicate significant historical events. The songs ‘Narin Govin Zeerd’ and ‘Öndör Sairin Oroi’ explain the historical event of Shunu Baatar, the heroic figure who fled from the Jungar Khanate to the Torghut Khanate. The songs ‘Burhan Shashinni Ogtorgui’ and ‘Nomin Khaani Tsongkhapa’ are attributed to Buddhist figures. ‘Minjin Khangain Bug’ is the song that marks the start of the Torghuts’ eastward migration. ‘Ilin Shar Khödee’ was created when the Torghuts arrived in the Ili region, and ‘Öndör Sairin Oroi’ was produced when the Torghuts settled in Hobogsair.
