Abstract
Folúkẹ́ Adébísí’s new book ‘Decolonisation and Legal Knowledge: Reflections on Power and Possibility’ is a deeply engaging, enraging, and evocative contribution to the existing literature in the fields of Law and Political Economy, Critical Legal Studies, and Decolonial Studies among others. Adébísí enunciates the objective of the book in her preface, also captured in the title, to focus on power and possibility. She wastes no time in reaffirming the case for decolonisation, as the argument ‘lies in existing structures of the world’ (Preface, vi). She assumes that her audience consists of those who are as uncomfortable with our unjust world as she is, and that her readers need no convincing of the emancipatory objectives of law.
