Vera Tsutaeva, About Divination

Change log

Abstract

Vera is a diviner. She uses prayer beads for divination. She also has a deity that protects her and tells her what she wants to know. People who have lost their livestock often come to her for divination. Vera is not the only person in her family who has this gift. A female relative of hers is also a powerful diviner. Vera’s connection with the supernatural started when she was a girl. She was often anxious and felt that something powerful called and pulled her to it. It is no coincidence that when she was 13, Vera found a small statue of a Buddhist deity. According to Vera, people should always pray to their personal deity-protectors. Food, money, luck and protection all come from these personal deities. Vera says that the sins of parents could be inherited by their children. For example, if a parent mistreats others, later their children could be punished (by gods) as a result.
