Description
The dataset contains data collected during a study conducted by the authors in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge in February-March 2019. The goal of the study was to capture the skill of experienced craftsmen in a metal forming technique known as metal spinning.
The dataset is composed of 72 experimental trials performed by 6 different participants. Each participant visited the Department of Engineering for 1 full day of trials.
The data collected is made up of:
- 1 Word document explaining the sources of data
- 1 Excel spreadsheet named “Trials data.xlsx”
- 8 folders with data: video recordings, audio recordings, photographs of physical parts, graphics, text files with information about the roller trajectory and workpiece shape, MATLAB scripts.
