Abstract
Ivan says that stories about evil spirits were abundant before World War II. After the war people stopped talking about it, although when the Kalmyks were exiled to Siberia there were tales about people disappearing. After the Kalmyks returned from Siberia, there were no old people left around to give advice and tell stories about evil spirits.
