With Fifty Years in Family Law, Rebecca Probert and Chris Barton took on what must have been the daunting task of marking the long and distinguished career of Dr Stephen Cretney QC FBA. That career, as pointed out in the Foreword by Lord Wilson of Culworth, began at a time when Family Law was only just being recognised as a subject worthy of academic study. The editors have shown themselves to be well up to their task, helped no end by the cast of luminaries and future luminaries who have contributed chapters.
