Abstract
Petr talks about exile in Siberia:After the construction of the Astrakhan-Kizlyar railway was over, I was sent home to the Kharabalinsky rayon from where I was deported along with others to Siberia. I was 15 then. Our family ended up in the city of Kansk in Krasnoyarsk krai. From there we were sent to the collective farm Novaya Zhizn (New Life), and later to a sawmill. In Siberia I became a tractor driver and got married. After the 20th Congress of the Communist Party, all Kalmyks, along with other repressed nationalities, were pardoned. After exile, we rebuilt Kalmykia. I worked on the construction of water pipes.
