Abstract
This Smart Forests Atlas Story introduces a five-month fieldwork conducted at the Ecodorp Boekel ecovillage in the Netherlands, focusing on ‘Digital Kins', a hybrid physical/digital installation that fosters multispecies kinship with data. Challenging the creation of digital twins, it encourages participatory data practices and the meaning-making of biodiversity data in local contexts through community workshops and playful engagement with diverse data sources.
