Description
Demographic data for a British population of Labrador retrievers including obesity-related phenotypes. This data is associated with research article 'Obesity risk factors in British Labrador retrievers: Effect of sex, neuter status, age, chocolate coat colour and food motivation'. Dogs and dog owners were recruited as previously described (Raffan, E., et al. "A deletion in the canine POMC gene is associated with weight and appetite in obesity-prone Labrador retriever dogs." Cell metabolism 23, no. 5 (2016): 893-900.). Data underwent quality control to ensure only dogs with reliable obesity phenotypes remained.
