Abstract

Torgon sang a historical song composed by the Torghuts shortly after they departed from the Volga region in 1771. According to Torgon, as part of the Torghuts remained on the other side of the Ijil River in the Volga region, those who migrated to Xinjiang missed their compatriots and composed this song.
