Description

This represents the data set for the figures shown on the article “Helicity-dependent Ultrafast Photocurrents in Weyl Magnet Mn3Sn”, published on arXiv:2302.07286.

Fig.1b – Amplitude of the detected THz signal polarised along y, i.e. perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic field. For these measurements Mn3Sn was optically pumped with laser pulses of different polarisations. The folder Fig.1(b) contains the raw data, obtained as averaging of several measurements, from which the amplitude is extracted, and for the different polarisations of the pump.

Fig.2a-d – Amplitude of the emitted THz signal in different experimental configurations as described in Fig. 1(a) of the article and for different polarisations of the pump. Each of the folders Fig.2(a), Fig.2(b), Fig.2(c) and Fig.2(d) contains a sub-folder named “THz transients” where the raw transients from which the amplitude is extracted is shown. The details of the experiment in which each set of data was collected are described below: Fig.2a – measurements were taken in configuration 2 with a tilting angle of 25 deg., at room temperature and with no magnetic field applied. Fig.2b – measurements were taken in configuration 3 with a tilting angle of 15 deg., at room temperature and with no magnetic field applied. Fig.2c – measurements were taken in configuration 3 with a tilting angle of 15 deg. And 30 deg., at room temperature and with no magnetic field applied. Fig.2d – measurements were taken in configuration 3 with a tilting angle of 15 deg. And -15 deg., at room temperature and with no magnetic field applied.

Fig.3a - THz signals amplitude measured at 380 K in configuration 3 and for different pump polarisations after field-cooling from 420 K with opposite directions of external magnetic field continuously applied along x. The raw data of the THz transient from which the amplitude was extracted is shown in the sub-folder “THz transients” in the folder “Fig.3(a)”. Fig.3b – Amplitude of the THz transient in configuration 3 for different pump polarisations before and after an in-plane rotation of the film by 90◦ . Prior to the measurements the sample was cooled down from 420 K to room temperature with a magnetic field of +860mT applied. The field was switched off at room temperature before measuring the THz transient. The raw data of the THz transient from which the amplitude was extracted is shown in the sub-folder “THz transients” in the folder “Fig.3(b)”.
